Upasana Sharma, LLB, LLM

Upasana Sharma, a lawyer with over seven years of experience in practicing law both in Canada and India is one of the founders of Investor Quotient Canada (IQ Canada). Prior to founding IQ Canada, Upasana practiced law with Lerners LLP, a reputed Canadian litigation law firm. Her legal experience was primarily focused on negotiations and mediations. In addition to her legal experience, she also has significant experience in project management and regulatory compliance having worked with non-governmental and quasi-governmental organizations in India and Canada.

Upasana is a MacArthur Foundation Scholar and holds a Masters of Law (LLM) degree from the University of Toronto and the University of Pune, India. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013 and the Indian Bar in 2001.

Upasana, combining her legal experience with her entrepreneurial acumen and in-depth understanding of regulatory and business requirements in various jurisdictions, facilitates seamless, successful and effective entry of entrepreneurs and corporations into the Canadian market.

Neal Diamond
Director West Coast Operations

Neal has spent over 30 years on Canada’s West Coast helping entrepreneurs to succeed in their businesses so that they can create jobs, grow economies, and offer their customers better products and services.

Neal’s services range from providing general business expertise and advice, to marketing and strategic planning along with capital funding. His wide ranging experience includes the merger and acquisition of transportation companies located on both sides of the Canada/USA border.

Neal a has advised local and regional governments on projects ranging from strategic consulting to the design, implementation, and operation of business investment-related residence and citizenship

Particular areas of expertise where Neal has helped to grow successful enterprises are in the fields of start ups, esports, franchises, transportation, manufacturing, agriculture, distribution, and higher

Neal has been a trusted advisor and consultant for clients in the Hong Kong, mainland China, Dubai, India, Turkey, Iran, Nigeria, South Africa, and the UK, and has developed strong associate partnerships in Europe, Southeast Asia, Canada and the United States.

Rajeeve Perera, MBA

As a self-motivated Finance professional, Rajeeve has over 20 years of professional finance experience ranging from investment banking to financial planning, analysis and governance. Over the past 15 years, he has held numerous leadership positions across multiple industry verticals from big retail (Loblaw, Grand & Toy) to financial services (TD Bank Group, Foresters Financial).

Rajeeve holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Finance from the University of Houston.

In addition to Rajeeve’s strong track record in operational finance, he also has experience in vendor management. He is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Toronto where he teaches a course in Corporate Finance.
